Industrial facility housing a 3000 SF lab on the ground level and a 1,440 SF lab on the upper level. A separate 4,000 SF building is a Testing Laboratory for the crushed stone aggregates produced in quarries. The design of the laboratories had stringent air quality and temperature control requirements. Due to the highly airborne dust particles created in their processes, each workstation had to be equipped with worktop exhaust and task exhaust snorkels. An extensive dust collection system served the exhaust system, and the use of two large-volume fume hoods created additional make-up air requirements to consider in the mechanical system design.
